To provide a professional and goal-oriented training program for motivated athletes preparing to compete for a seat on the Senior National Team for the 2004 World Dragon Boat Championships in Shanghai.
Vision:
To foster a positive club and team identity within its members through the awareness and support of the individual within a team setting.
Goals:
1. To create an environment that challenges the present fitness level of its members and motivates them to achieve personal bests.
2. To identify and foster common paddling technique.
3. To develop within its framework channels of constant and current communication.
4. To provide opportunities for its members to contribute their time and talent in areas that will foster team goals.
Coaches of the GTDBC’s Senior National Dragon Boat Program (the “Program”) will evaluate athletes based on the following criteria in order to select the best teams to exhibit excellence in Shanghai:

On May 17, 2004, the coaching staff will identify the two teams.
